Aromatically this wine brighter than its sister bottlings, with notes of sea spray and saline, and just a hint of vanilla. On the palate the wine has lemon zest and barely ripened yellow apples, as well as a touch of creme brûlée which gives it a lingering full body mouthfeel.

A combination of Wente and Calera clones, the 2022 Chardonnay Cuvée Susan Hyde Vineyard features scents of crushed stone, struck flint and a hint of pencil shavings, in addition to fruity notes of melon, pear and pineapple. It's medium to full-bodied in the mouth, plump and even a bit custardy-oily, then finishes long and creamy.
