Deep, dark, but not opaque, purple-red color. Juicy black-cherry aromas are restrained with meaty & cedary overtones. The palate shows an impressive concentration of vivid cassis fruit lifted by excellent acidity. There is a lovely mid-weight structure & the ripe tannins are both smooth & gripping. the mid-palate shows a core of ripe blackcurrant, black-cherry & damson fruit. Balanced alcohol just adds a little roundness to a long finish
