Deep, dark, red-purple color. Lifted, perfumed on the nose comprises delicate, vibrant dark-fruit overlaid by chocolate & cedar. The palate initially shows beautifully fresh cassis & redcurrant fruit. Very fine-grained, cedary tannins are backed by juicy black-fruit, but give good grip. Balanced alcohol enhances bitter tannins. The fine, long, fresh finish has cocoa, coffee & licorice notes & a drying, toasty finish.
