A deep, dark, almost opaque, ruby-red color. Aromas are predominantly of cedary oak with a good intensity of rich, ripe dark-fruit behind it. On the palate open, rich, dark liquorice fruit combines with cedary oak. The oaky structure has an astringent/chalky grip. Acidity is a touch low and the alcohol adds warmth.
