Robust and earthen, this full-bodied Syrah is a classic expression of the muscularity and density of Hermitage. The palate is packed with flavors of stewed prunes and blueberry conserves but also layers of smoky tea leaf, salted licorice and ore. It's ripe but strident in acidity, finishing on satiny, well-integrated tannins. The wine still needs some time to open. Wait until it starts hitting its stride from 2026 to 2040.
