The Steinbeck Vineyard is now one of the oldest Syrah vineyards in the US, own-rooted and low yielding. The Syrah went through a 15-day fermentation, 20% whole berries, 3% co-fermentations with Viognier. Aged in 15 % French, 10% American & 10% Hungarian Oak for 15 months.
Blueberry, blackberry, red raspberry, plum, and generous amounts of French, American, and Hungarian oak. White pepper, savory, earthy, sweet tobacco, and violets.
