The wine's deep, dark ruby-red color is not quite opaque. The aromas are of high-ripeness red-plum & red-cherry with raisin notes. There is a lovely freshness & a structure of fine cedary tannins. The wine is ripe, concentrated & medium to full bodied. The dark, black-pum/damson fruit has both raisined richness and good freshness. Alcohol is balanced but warming & emphasises attractive sweet oak spices & vanilla on the long intense finish

This is a superb Haut-Brion with incredible tannins that are wonderfully fine-grained. It’s really powerful. This is very primary with so much grape-generated tannin structure. Very, very long, going on for minutes. Seductive and friendly at the start and then takes you on at the finish with so much structure. Wine of the vintage?
