A bit oaky, however there is a lot up like in this lush, round, spicy, smoky charmer. Medium-bodied, open, soft, and polished, the wine delivers its licorice, black cherry, dried tobacco, chocolate and black cherries on the nose and palate with ease. I’m not sure the oak will completely integrate, but if a bit of oak doesn’t cause you problems, this is ready to go. Drink from 2024-2036

94 James Suckling
Deep and slightly spicy black cherries and blackberries with leafy nuances. The palate has a very pure, lively core of cassis. Full body and deep flavors of blue plums. " (02/2018) 93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Loads of ripe black cherries, plums, bouquet garni, truffle and forest floor emerge from the glass of the deep purple color 2015 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion. With a full, layered, concentrated profile, ripe tannin, and a great, great finish, it’s a seriously good Pessac-Leognan that’s capable of holding for 15-20 years
