Medium ruby-red in color, but quite darkly pigmented. Aromas are restrained & introspective, showing red-fruit & coffee notes. Vivid cassis & redcurrant flavors on the palate are supported by fresh acidity. The mid-weight wine has fine, firm tannins. The acidity gives the cassis fruit on the mid-palate an attractive juicy nature. The tannins give grip without being astringent. The finish is long & elegant with tangy black-fruit to the end

Produced by the winemaking team of Léoville las Cases, this wine comes from a separate part of the estate. The wine, with its dominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, is dense with tannins as well as dark fruit. It is firm, powerful and a very fine wine for long-term aging. Drink from 2024.
