Deep, dark, almost opaque ruby red color. Cedary, high-toast oak dominates the aromas. Jammy blackcurrant fruit emerges on the palate, where it is ripe & slightly volatile. The palate is fairly concentrated with some fine drying tannins giving grip. The wine's fresh acidity ensures the cassis fruit stays juicy to the end. Alcohol is a touch warming & acidity is fresh and balanced. Looks like a great value buy

Floral in nature with the addition of chalky red currants and cherries are in the nose of this, medium-bodied, fresh, vibrant, silky charmer. This has really popped up during the barrel aging.
