Sacrashe Vineyard is perched just above Auberge du Soleil in the Rutherford hillside. The chalky and ashy soils of Sacrashe cannot be confused with any other property and lend a freshness and minerality to our wines. The Sacrashe Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark black hue with touches of scarlet and lipstick on the rim. The nose has a beautiful balance between fruit, spices and herbs with touches of pepper, crushed red pepper flakes and rosemary, lingering on dark cherry preserve and fern. The palate has a silky entrance evolving on a fresh mid-palate with granular tannins, touches of mulberry, persimmon and plum, lingering on gingerbread and lilac. 100% Barrel Fermented, 20 days on skins. Aged 22 months, 80% new French oak.

Professional Ratings

95 Parker
Sporting a very deep opaque purple color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard charges out of the gate with energetic scents of crushed blackberries, black cherries and black currant cordial, followed by hints of cedar chest, clove oil, violets and mocha plus a waft of black truffles. The full-bodied palate is laden with tightly wound, crunchy black fruits with lots of earthy and savory nuances and a rock-solid frame of firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and mineral laced.
