Opaque, inky & dark-purple. A restrained & elegant nose shows excellent purity of fruit: cassis cedar, hints of green pepper, wet earth, pencil sharpenings & cedar. The palate is huge & cedary, lean & concentrated with firm drying tannins. Good acid balances noticeable alcohol, lifting the fruit to display a big earthy, sweet chocolate & black-fruit core.
