Estancia's vineyard lies in the Thermal Rainbow of Monterey County appellation, which features midday heat tempered by morning and late-afternoon fog-perfect for developing the intense fruit character. Pinnacles Vineyard was one of the first vineyards in California to be planted with a permanent irrigation system. This merlot has aromas of dark fruit, blueberry, vanilla, and cherry with a well-balanced flavor of cherry, cranberry, and marzipan, complemented by a lingering, toasty vanilla finish.
