Pepper, resin, smoke and coffee with red fruits, mint and tobacco aromas. The entry is youthful and tight with slightly astringent tannins followed by fresh cassis, raspberry, coffee, vanilla, tobacco, cedar flavours. One of the top estates of the Cotes de Castillon owned by Stephan von Neipperg. The blend is 80/20 merlot/cabernet franc. For medium term cellaring it should be fully ready to go by 2017. Professional Ratings

93 James Suckling
With a good deep color, the wine offers truffle, tobacco and sweet black cherries in the nose. Structured, fresh, bright and now tight, the wine is not a lot of fun to taste for the moment. Give it a 3-5 years in the cellar before popping a cork.
