A soft cork created concerns and required my Durand to save it, but fortunately the juice was found in tact. Rich golden color w/a classic Clos du Bourg vineyard nose that smelled as if I'd just stuck my head in a honey bucket. Vouvray's acidity is a wonderful attribute, elegantly preserving this juice’s balance as it opened up over a couple hours. At this stage, the 02s delight with an super extended finish chorusing through notes of ripe melon, lemon dough, lychee, chalk and apple strudel.
