This wine is a single vineyard bottling from the Sgarzon vineyard. Sgarzon translates to "shoot" in the local dialect. The vineyard's cooler climate characterizes the expression of the wine.
Destemmed whole berries are put in clay amphorae for spontaneous fermentation and aging for eight months. S02 is usually added only at bottling, between 20-35mg/l. In warm vintages with low PH, it may be added after malolactic fermentation.
