Siesta Key Coffee is a coffee RUM, not a coffee liqueur. We make our coffee rum with real coffee beans and keep it at 70 proof. When we first started experimenting with our coffee rum we tried different methods. We knew before even trying that we would not use coffee flavoring or concentrate. That is not how we do things. We tried using fresh liquid coffee. While the flavor was ok, it was too watered down. In the end, the only way we could get full coffee flavor was by making the coffee rum in a similar way to making a quality cold brew coffee. No liquid flavors are used. No liquid coffee is used. No concentrates are used. The flavor of the locally roasted Colombian beans comes through beautifully.
